Storm
Name: Ororo Munroe
Storm is descended from an ancient line of African princesses. Her mother, N'Dare, married a photojournalist and they moved to Cairo, Egypt. Then, when Storm was five, a bomb blast killed her parents and left her trapped beneath the rubble of their home. Orphaned, Storm met up with a master thief Achmed el-Gibar who trained her to become a pickpocket. She at one time had even attempted to pick the pocket of Professor Xavier.
Some years later Xavier met Ororo where she was living on the Serengeti Plane. She was being worshipped as a goddess by serveral tribes because of her ability to control the weather. Xavier was able to persuade her to join the X-Men where she was given the codename Storm.
Ororo's mutant power allows her to generate lightining, rain, and fog. Her ability to control the wind allows her to fly. Her
one weakness, though, is severe claustrophobia due to the time she spent under the wreckage of her parent's destroyed home.
