Storm
Storm's childhood is a tempest of events. Born to N'Dare, an African priestess,
and trained by the master thief Achmed el-Gibar, she managed to survive and make
the best of whatever life threw her way. The most lasting events of her life have
been the bombing death of her parents, being trapped in the rubble of her home,
and being worshiipped as a goddess because of her mutant ability to control the
weather.
Since accepting Professor Xavier's offer to join the X-Men, Ororo has developed
her powers far beyond simply causing it to rain. She can generate and control
lightning, rain, and wind. This gives her the ability to throw bolts of lightning
from her hands, blow enemies off their feet, and even fly. Her one greatest fear
is being trapped in a small place again. With her powers, few enemies try to cage
Storm.
