Gambit
Gambit started life as an orphan in New Orleans, Louisiana. Luc LeBeau, the leader
of the Thieves Guild, adopted Remy and taught him the tricks of the trade. It
wasn't long before Remy had learned everything Luc could teach him. Eventually,
Remy turned his back on his past life, including his marriage to the assassin
Bella Donna Bordeaux.
It wasn't long before Gambit's ability to charge objects with kinetic energy earned him a spot among the X-Men. Many of his old mannerisms remain, though. He still has the attitude of a grifter, and even enjoys stealing from other thieves on occasion. His powers and his trademark weapons (a staff and a deck of cards) are always at the disposal of the X-Men.
