At the age of 24, Nicola was a travelling swordmans on his way to Polata to find Polata's former mayor, Kossimo. Nicola was seeking Kossima help in overthrowing the current Monarch family of Natra. He soon quickly wins the trust of Joshua and his friends. In fact, Nicola words of wisdom help shape Joshua's life in the later years.

At the age of 31, Nicola became ruler of the Western Natra with the help and support of the neighboring Republic of Vernantze. This also brings him indirect conflict with Centra Natra leader, Joshua, the boy whom he had a profound infuence on 7 years ago.
