Here are the faqs/walkthrough to help you get through the tough spot in the game
plus some tips for you gamers out there. Just remember that if you're going to
cheat then come over to Rpg Dreamers cause we need a charge on our counter. LOL.

A Hiding Place after the Final Battle
During the final battle, the team is split into two groups. One group fights
on the bridge, while the other group releases water from the dam. After the fight
(and when all of the water has been released), the entire party must move to safety
or get swept away by the tide. The band will find shelter behind the city gate
– the wall with a door – using a layered regimen of three.
Barrel Tip
It is important in that in every battle scene that contains a barrel you make
sure to destroy it. Barrels may contain items or secrets. Some barrels block rooms
or treasure chests that can only be accesed by destroying the barrel. If a barrel
is blocking a room, that room can only be opened after a battle and only if the
barrel is destroyed.
Battle Difficulty & Music Select
Beat the entire game and collect all the hidden characters Noon, Pen, Rachet,
Hagane, and Frank. After beating the game, save it so your save game says "Complete."
From now on the OPTIONS screen will show a new option where you can choose your
difficulty level and play the game's music.
Beat the Skull Lord
Right before the final battle, when your under the draw bridge, you'll see
another room. After you go though some fighting trials, you'll come to the ultra
tough Skull Lord. He casts a spell called "Timat" that causes enough damage to
kill instantly. Heres a tip. If you have lots of men around you, the damage is
less because the timat has to hit them, too. If you beat him, you'll get the Justice
Sword and the Timat Staff, which lets you cast the "Timat" spell.
Clear Attack Screen
During a magic or physical attack press and hold the START button. When you
do, the level and health boxes that block much of the screen will turn off.
Friendship System Tips
Make a fighter-type and healer-type or Monk and Mage fight the same opponent
until they accept each other as partners. The fighters will protect the healers,
while they will keep the fighters strong. Monks and Mages are an odd combo, but
the combination of strong physical attack, strong magic, healing, and long range
and/or group attacks also make them a lethal combo.
Gain Experience Level Quickly
In Ghost Town, you will have to battle the boss, Blue-Colored Vandal. I find
he provides a lot of experience points with every hit. When fighting him, let
him use up his entire MP and kill all his minions, but leave him alive. Now that
he's all alone and disarmed, battle him one on one with defferent characters and
watch those levels go way up. Be careful not to kill him off until you're satisfied.
He will regenerate and restore his HP points so you can attack him numerously.
Lastly, ENJOY!
Hire Mercenaries
In the town before the final battle, head to the bar. In the far right corner
are 4 soldiers drinking. If you talk to them right before you head to the final
battle, they'll join you for a small price. They won't show up on the character
screen, but they'll be put in reserve for the final battle.
How to Get Irene
When you first meet Irene (in the cargo hold at Railhead), she is being attacked
by a band of thieves. The best way to save her is to send the swiftest party members
into hold using one move. (Those that cannot make it in one move should march
along side the cargo hold.) Once inside, assemble the party and quickly run to
the right-hand exit. You should be able to reach Irene before she dies. If you
heal her wounds and talk to her, she will join your party.
How to get Frank
Frank is in your hometown of Flagard. To make him join all you have to do
is physically push him into your headquarters.
How to get Hagane
Hagane is hidding as a pillar in the fifth tomb in the battle to rescue Duke
Palis on the tower observatory. Just inspect it during the fight or after and
he will join.
How to get Noon
To get Noon, do not kill any of the zombies in the battle in the ghost town's
cemetary outside of the Mansion. Let Kahn use his orb on them. If you don't kill
any of them, Noon will join after you have killed the Vandal and exited the mansion
How to get Pen
While you are on the train, explore untill you find a room with a priest and
a bag of chicken feed. Use this feed on all the chickens in the cart untill one
accepts it and follows you. Later when you visit the vagabond camp for the first
time, in one of the tents and old couple will sell you a big egg for 100 dollars.
Use this egg on the chicken which will be in your Headquarters. It will hatch
Pen who will run away. You'll find in hiding in the corner of Storich.
How to get Rachet
In the Vandals mansion in the ghost town, check the rooms after you kill the
Vandal until you see one with a bunch of machinery and a switch. Pull the switch
and Rachet will appear then leave. Later on the first time you visit the Vagabond
camp you need to talk to him in the corner and he will run away again. If you
talked to him both times he will join you at the battle right before entering
the Dragon Cave.
Mountian Glitch
Right before you get to the first train station, walk along the mountains
till you reach an almost straight 45' angle. You can walk up it and explore. Caution
if you wander to far you can get lost and have to restart
Ship's Key
In the battle in Flagard castle, Dantares gives you two options: to save your
father by attacking Fiale or fighting alongside your team. If you pick the first
option and attack Fiale you will be too weak to hurt him. But when you attack
him he drops a key. He will say "Out of my carelessness I seamed to drop the Ship's
Key, oh well I'll give you that one".
NOTE: This key doesn't do anything. It's for use in parts 2 and 3 of the game,
which were only released in Japan.
