~~ Disc One ~~
The breezes in the slums of Sector 7 allowed few to understand the message coming. At the 7th Heaven Bar, Tifa gave the reluctant Cloud a margarita, just as a thundering Barret entered the room with Marlene, Biggs, Wedge and Jessie.
“Cloud… get yer lazy butt downstairs and get some sleep. You too, Tifa. We’re all going to wipe Shinra offa this planet!” Barret bellowed, as Marlene hid behind one of his bulky legs.
“Before you do that, would you mind giving me a few shots?” A young woman about Cloud’s age walked in.
She had a tight, muscular stomach and waist, and black, oval-shaped sunglasses covered her eyes. She wore a sleeveless turquoise shirt and light brown shorts with chocolate brown combat boots. Her hair was dyed a shocking scarlet tied back into a braid, and she had light tan skin. On her shoulder was a huge tattoo of a green dragon.
“Who the hell are you?” Cloud said, making the girl take off her shades. Cloud and Tifa’s eyes snapped open wide.
“H-Hey! I-I know you!” Tifa cried.
“Sweet. If you know me so well, can I get a drink and get the hell otta here?” the girl said.
“…Okay…” Tifa said, and began making four drinks in four shot glasses as the woman had requested. The girl took two in each hand and slurped them down in one swallow, and did it again with the remainders. Just then, the door was opened up and a blonde haired kid came in. He began flirting with Tifa before the redhead could take another drink.
“Hey blondie, you’re holding up the line.” The redhead snapped.
“Wha…? At least I don’t have dyed hair, Red!” the blonde boy snapped.
“…Red? After I make another order, I’m gonna kick your ass.” Just then, the two saw each other and simmered down.
“Been a long time, Zeke.” She said.
“Hey, what’s up… uh…”
“You forgot my name.”
“No I didn’t…its Helga, right?”
“Wrong.”
“…Christine?”
“No!”
“Oh, I remember now! We use to train together. How’s it going…Sylvia? You’ve gotten…big…”
“You nasty little…!”
“Oh come on! I never forget a pretty girl’s face. How’s it going, Dizzy?”
“…Same old Zeke…”
…What brings you to Midgar?”
“What else? To beat the shit out of Shinra. It’s a good way to boost up my abilities. Care to join me?”
“Nah…I think I’ll pass…”
“Lazy bum…”
“Any news about your cousin?”
“…Still missing.”
“Do you think you’ll ever go back to your home?”
“I have no right to go back… there’s nothing there for me anymore…”
Dizzy drank a beer this time and walked out of the bar… allowing Barret to notice her left shoulder. It had a strange mark on it. It looked like a light red, almost burgundy pitchfork in the middle of her tattoo.
“That girl’s got something on her arm…” he said.
“That’s right! I remembered that mark! One time, Tifa and I saw her in Nibelheim, our hometown. I asked her where she got that mark, and she replied by saying angrily, ‘Don’t you ever touch that mark again!’ and slapped me hard across my face.” Cloud said.
“I wondered what her problem was, but she never smiles unless she’s in a battle. I saw her fight one time…she acted like it was a game! Other then that, she doesn’t smile unless it’s a huge battle, and she drinks a whole lot of beer while fighting.” Tifa added.
“That was five years ago…but why…? How could she have come here to Midgar in Sector 7?” Cloud said.
“Forget it. We’ll go and beat Shinra to the dirt in the mourning. Let’s get some sleep.” Barret said, and everyone went to sleep.
The next day, Dizzy was out into an open area. A huge cyborg appeared, and was ordered to terminate her. Dizzy was on a role, this time. She annihilated it before it chopped her head off. Just then it jumped up, forcing her to spin around.
“Cut!” she ordered. It stopped.
She opened the cyborg to where the laptop in it said, “Terminate Dizzy Ninaka” in the center of the screen. She took out its training disk, and put in a small burned CD. Then she kicked it down and the cyborg fell on its back. Then she grabbed it and started dragging it over towards her indigo-haired friend Gizmo who was on his laptop. He noticed Dizzy with the rap-playing robot and raced over towards his friend.
“Oh bugger! Sheesh Dizzy ‘ol girl, these cost big bucks to get these repaired!” he said.
“Giz, there’s something that I really been edging to ask you… was it suppose to stop… AFTER it took my head off?” Dizzy asked.
“Well… in a matter of saying…yes…” Gizmo replied, causing Dizzy to raise her eyebrows. “Well you told me to make it more challenging…” he protested, just when his navy-blue-haired friend Duo, the mechanic came in.
“Live rounds again?” he asked.
“Oh no Duo ‘ol boy…what has she done to you?” Gizmo teased, then turned to the loud, hardcore music playing cyborg.
“How the hell do you turn this bloody thing off?” Duo asked.
“What do you think I’m trying to do?” Gizmo snapped. Just then, Dizzy drew her gold plated pistol, spun it around, and shot the cyborg, causing all eyes to be on her at the moment.
“I can make copies of that CD…relax…” she said.
Dizzy went to take a shower. Her hair was dyed so deeply red, no matter how many times she showered, it never came out, turned pink, or anything like that. When she came out, she dressed into her regular clothes, and told everyone about her meeting Zeke. Zeke was the group’s old buddy in the army. So Dizzy went to the Sector 5 slums, and saw Cloud with a flower girl.
“You again!” Cloud cried.
“Don’t lower me down to your level, you blonde, spiky haired jackass. I’m here to get equipped, go to Sector 6 and kick the Shinra’s monkey asses.” Dizzy snapped.
“Cloud…you know this girl?” The girl named Aeris whispered.
“Not personally…” Cloud replied.
“She’s…so vulgar and cynical.” Aeris whispered again.
“She’s always been like that… since those last five years ago.”
“See you later.” Dizzy replied after going into a store. After she bought the things, she went to the inn and staid there until daybreak.
That’s when she met Cloud again. Him and Aeris argued with her, but she somehow ended up helping them find Tifa in the Sector 6 slums. Cloud had to dress up like a girl to get into Don’s place, where Tifa was. So Aeris, Cloud and Dizzy went into the place, they searched for Tifa.
Finally they found her, and she said that she and Barret caught one of the Shinra soldiers, and Barret squeezed him tight until he told them information. Then Don’s name came out, so Tifa came there. But the thing was, Don takes a whole bunch of girls into his house and chooses the one he wants to go out with. That would mean Tifa, Cloud, Aeris and Dizzy would be the ones. Just then, a man came and called them to see Don. The group lined up infront of Don, and he looked at them, but Dizzy had her back leaned up against the wall. Don noticed her.
“Hey, pretty girl. You’re a beauty… look at you’re built bod…” he said, flirting with her.
“Go away, you bother me.” Dizzy said.
“Oh…
playing hard to get…”
“As if…”
“Come on…why do you act so tough…? I’m not the bad guy.”
“Listen up, you fat ass, butt ugly scum bag! I don’t have the taste for the slimiest son of a bitch alive, so shut the hell up or I’ll rip out you’re tongue and tie it around your throat!”
Dizzy had Don by the collar of his shirt and was ready to knock him crazy, but she threw him into one of the men running at her. The two went tumbling away like rolling stone!
“Why you little…!” Another guy was coming at her, and she sent a high kick to his head, jumped up, kicked him in the chest, and then formed into a back flip landing on her feet and sending him falling like a rock!
Then, another guy was coming from behind her, and she gave a quick twist and swung her leg and heel into his head! Then she jumped up and gave a jump kick under his chin sending him flying into the wall. Then two other guys came in and she jumped up and gave a high spin kick to both of the guys, knocking them out cold. Another guy came chasing after her, and she ran up the wall, jumped backwards into a back flip, and right when the guy held up a steel shield, she fired her fist so hard it went through the shield and into his face! Then the last guy came and he was face to face with her, and then the breath was knocked out of him. Dizzy dropped her knee from his stomach, and he fell over like a cold stone.
Cloud and the others had their eyes bulging out of their sockets when they saw what the red-haired beauty did to eight men! Cloud couldn’t believe it! She wasn’t sweating or panting or anything! And she wanted to take on the Shinra? They’d be dead ducks! She smirked, and then turned away, searching threw files.
“Where’d you learn that?” Cloud asked.
“Learned what?” Dizzy asked sharply.
“That! A few minutes ago, that was amazing!”
“…It was nothing…”
“For you! They didn’t even touch you! And where’d you learn to punch like that? It went right through that damn shield!”
“…Training…”
“Training?”
“Training, dumb-ass! You can’t learn to fight like that if you’re not trained to.”
“…Oh…” Dizzy left Cloud and went searching some more files, and found a report. She read it, and then she stuffed it into her combat boot after laminating it.
“The Shinra’s going to blow Sector 7 to chopsticks…” she said.
“What? When? Why? How come?” Cloud said.
“Shut the hell up, stupid! Its today in about thirty minutes!” Dizzy snapped.
“Damnit! We gotta hurry!” Tifa cried.
So after everyone put their regular clothes on, they raced out of the place and ran towards Sector 7. It was almost party time… and Barret and the rest of AVALANCHE heard the news, and they met up with the group.
“Cloud! Tifa! Yer back!” he cried.
“Barret! The Shinra’s gonna attack!” Tifa said.
“We know...” Jessie back, brushing her hair back.
“How’re they gonna attack?” Barret asked.
“They’re going to place a bomb into the pillar… and bring the plate down.” Dizzy said, finally speaking up.
“Hey ya two…you’ve got yo’self some company. Yer the one who came into the 7th Heaven, ain’t ya?” Barret asked.
“Not right now” Dizzy said, crossly.
“This is Dizzy. She took out eight men who attacked her in Sector 6! She’s great! And that’s Aeris, a flower girl from the slums. She wants to fight the Shinra, but they’re after her.” Cloud said.
“They’ll attack any minute…what can I do?” Aeris asked.
“Go to my bar, and there’s a little girl named Marlene there. Take her someplace safe.” Tifa said.
“Alright!” Aeris said, then ran.
Then, AVALANCHE and Dizzy ran up to the pillar and on the way up, some Shinra robots attacked them. Dizzy took them out without any help from anybody.
“Man Cloud, you were right… she IS great.” Biggs said.
“…Lay off…” Dizzy said, then the others raced up, and it was finally party time when they reached the top!
“Alright! Here’s the deal! Tifa, guard that computer over there! Biggs, Jessie, guard the southeast part of the railing! Barret, you and Wedge take the northern part. Cloud, you’re with me. We’re taking the southwestern part! The Shinra’s going to attack by helicopters! Stay low and fire at opposite angles! Now move out!” Dizzy ordered.
They didn’t hesitate and took their spots. The Shinra was attacking by helicopter like Dizzy said, and they stood low and fired their weapons. Tifa fought in the background, guarding the computer. Then, Reno came down from one of the helicopters and faced Tifa. She didn’t notice until it was too late. Reno shot an electrical blast sending Tifa flying away from the computer unconcious.
“TIFA!” Cloud hollered.
He bent on the rescue, but Reno had already set the bomb! Then he flew off in the helicopter. Dizzy wasn’t going to let that go unpunished. When the helicopter flew down, she jumped off the railing, and made it pass the spinning helicopter blade and into the helicopter. Then she fought Reno and threw him out of the helicopter. She knew how to fly it and flew up higher towards the others.
“CLOUD! SCUMBAGS! GET IN!” she hollered. Cloud carried Tifa in, only to hear from another helicopter… that caught Aeris!
“Aeris!” Cloud cried.
“Don’t worry Cloud… she’s safe.” Aeris said, only to have a soldier smack her face, then fly off.
The bomb was going off, and Jessie, Biggs and Wedge didn’t make it in time. Dizzy flew out of Sector 7 right before the plate fell onto it. When they made it out, the helicopter was caught on fire so they had to jump out. Everyone was on the ground of Sector 6, when Barret saw the once slums of Sector 7.
“NO! MARLENE…! BIGGS…! WEDGE…! JESSIE…! DAMNIT!” Barret screamed, then followed by,
“GOD DANG! WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS FOR?” Barret began shooting the fallen plate with his gun, nearly crying.
“Stop it! Please stop it, Barret!” Tifa cried when she had the strength to speak.
Dizzy headed in another direction. She didn’t care if Marlene was dead, if AVALANCHE was dead…it didn’t matter to her. The only thing that mattered to her was to kick Shinra to the curb, and then die trying. If she dies fighting the Shinra, she wouldn’t care as long as she had killed all of them and died trying. Death didn’t scare Dizzy…nothing did. The only thing that would probably scare her is seeing the Shinra defeat her before she could defeat them.
“Hey Dizzy… where’re you go’n? Marlene’s at Aeris’s house!” Cloud said.
“I don’t care about Marlene.” Dizzy shot back at them.
“How can you be so damn cold?! What kind of a person are you?” Barret snapped.
“…One of a kind…” Dizzy replied, after making it into the Sector 6 slums.
“Grr… Barret! You and Tifa go see Marlene at Aeris’s place. I’m gonna follow Red over their and see where she’s head’n.” Cloud said.
“Sure thing, kid.” Barret said, as Cloud handed a hurt and wincing Tifa in one of his muscular arms.
“Be careful Cloud! I don’t trust her!” Tifa shouted.
“I’ll be fine!” Cloud said.
Cloud went running after Dizzy, who hadn’t gotten that far. She was sitting outside the Honeybee Hotel, brushing away some of the decomposed skin off the mark on her arm. Cloud saw her and staid down low. Two men he hadn’t seen before joined her.
“Hey Dizzy ‘ol girl, what’s up?” It was Gizmo…
“You’re mark’s getting redder. You should cover it up.” …and it was Duo.
“Thanks guys…but what brings you HERE? This place is loaded with a bunch of preps.” Dizzy said.
“We’ve been look’n for you, Dizzy girl. We knew you were going to fight the Shinra. After all, they were the ones who put that mark on you fifteen years ago.” Gizmo said.
Right after he said that, Dizzy’s eyes widened, and she could her heart beat slowly. It felt as if the temperature dropped down, and she was in the Polar Zones. Dizzy places her hand on her mark, and she shut her eyes. Not a tear rolled down her face, but in her mind, she kept on hearing the painful, echoing screams she heard fifteen years ago.
“Oh great. Now you’ve gone and done it again, Gizmo.” Duo said in his British accent.
“Aww bugger. I am bloody sorry, Dizzy. I didn’t mean to.” Gizmo said.
“It’s alright Giz, it’s not like I have feelings, right?” Dizzy said.
“Right you are. Now let’s go kick the bloody hell out of the Shinra, eh ‘ol girl?” Gizmo said. The three walked out, not noticing Cloud. They were heading north, to alley of the slums.
Now the was the weirdest thing for Cloud was, he never saw Dizzy act like that… not since the five years ago in Nibelheim. He recalled the guy named Gizmo saying, “After all, they were the ones who put that mark on you fifteen years ago…” and he wondered about that. Then, he began to think about it.
Then, he thought to himself:
So what? They gave her a tattoo over her other tattoo. You don’t see me crying because I had a tattoo slapped on me. I had to have materia in me, and my eyes got screwed up. I’m not pissed off because of THAT… but… how come her eyes aren’t shining like mine? Was she a hostage? A member of SOLDIER? No… I would’ve known her then. But… what happened the last fifteen years ago…what happened?
Tifa and Barret rejoined Cloud. They followed the path Gizmo, Dizzy and Duo took, and then they found Gizmo and Duo shouting,
“Good luck Dizzy ‘ol girl! We’ll meet you at Fort Condor!” Then they walked off, only to be caught by Barret and Cloud.
“What the bloody hell do you want?” Gizmo snapped.
“You must be AVALANCHE… Dizzy told us about you guys. You can’t go bothering her… she has a score to settle.” Duo said.
“What happened fifteen years ago? Why does Dizzy have that mark?” Cloud asked.
“We can’t tell YOU. It’s personal to all of us.” Gizmo said.
“What? You have a mark too?” Barret asked.
“Of course we do… all of us!” Gizmo blurted.
“Quiet you idiot! Damn, you have the biggest mouth there is!” Duo snapped.
“Where? It’s not on your arms!” Cloud demanded.
“It’s behind our left shoulder blade and if you ask me it was not worth the while.” Gizmo said. Tifa checked, and sure as daylight, there was the mark that Dizzy had.
“…Something tells me you’re not going to listen to us… just go follow her. She’ll explain it to you someday…” Duo said.
The two were released and ran off. Cloud, Tifa and Barret climbed up the wire to get to the Shinra. When they reached the top, they saw beaten up Shinra guards, and they followed them up to the elevator. They only reached the sixty-sixth floor, and they caught up with her. They followed her (without her knowing) into the bathroom and into one of the vents. The heads of Shinra were having a meeting, when a scientist named Hojo came in. Just when Dizzy saw that man enter the room, she was on fire. She hated him in every which way there was in hating a person. She vowed that she would kill him someday for what he put her through. Somehow, even if she dies, she vowed that she would kill him no matter what.
“What do you plan on doing to the Ancient?” Palmer, one of the Shinra members asked.
“It would take a while to study on her… so we plan on breeding her, so we can start on a younger Ancient. Hopefully that one can open the Promised Land.” Hojo replied. Dizzy and Cloud knew he was talking about Aeris, and Dizzy was going to bust him up. She broke through the vent, taking everybody by surprise!
“What the hell?” Hojo cried as Dizzy jumped onto him. She threw him down and delivered as many hard punches as she could! Two of the Shinra members tried to hold her back, but she pummeled them all until it was just her and Hojo.
Dizzy… what the hell are you doing?! Cloud thought.
“Why, if it isn’t my dear Dizzy Ninaka.” Hojo said.
“Go to hell, Hojo. I know you more then anyone here and I know exactly what you’re planning.” Dizzy snapped.
“Yes… I know that you’re angry at that mark on your tattoo. Just so you know, that would’ve been on the back of your shoulder if you hadn’t have squirmed.”
“Shut up! And besides, this isn’t a tattoo! It’s a birthmark! I was born with this dragon on me and you made it ugly by that disgusting mark!”
“Tsk-tsk-tsk… you would’ve made a great member in Shinra too… a lieutenant, maybe. But you and those two fools just had to be rebels, and make a fool out of Shinra, just like that Cloud Strife! You’re nothing but a renegade now!”
“Cloud Strife, huh? I don’t give a monkey’s ass about Cloud Strife. Where’s that damn Ancient?”
“Follow me, my dear…I’ll show you.”
Dizzy followed Hojo to the room where Aeris was. She was in a glass test tube sort of thing, unconcious. Dizzy walked up to the glass and placed her hand on it. Then she shut her eyes. It was all too much for her… seeing another person suffer like she did:
“Dizzy… do not be afraid… you’re a Ninaka… just like your father. Whatever you do, no matter what, don’t be afraid, Dizzy… you’re stronger then that… they will never harm you again if you don’t show fear…”
Those words echoed through her mind. Dizzy Ninaka… ex-Shinra member and trained to kill. It didn’t matter to her for what she was: renegade…rebel…outlaw…criminal… terrorist…rouge…villainous… it didn’t matter to her. But she kept on hearing the echoing voice through her head like she was having a dream, or if she was inside a dark cavern and somebody was calling her, with the voice echoing throughout the cave.
“You plan on using her to open the Promised Land… aren’t you?” Dizzy asked.
“You catch on quickly.” Hojo said.
“You’ve only abducted her… like you’ve abducted me, you DAMNED SORRY EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING!” she snapped as she pounded her fist on the glass.
“DIZZY! GET AWAY!” Cloud ran out of nowhere and tackled Dizzy before Hojo could blast her!
“Cloud… where did you come from?” Dizzy asked.
“Friends don’t let other friends down…” Cloud said smiling.
“…I don’t understand you…” Dizzy said.
Just then, Hojo sent a tiger and wolf-like creature at Aeris. She woke up and backed away from the creature. She was curled up, pressing against the glass. The girl was scared to death by this creature.
“Help me, Cloud!” Aeris screamed in fear. Cloud broke the glass and got Aeris out, and then that creature attacked Hojo and sent him running for cover.
“Sorry about that, lady.” He said.
“It talks!” Aeris cried.
“Shut the hell up! We got work to do!” Dizzy snapped.
“My name’s Red XII. Let’s kill these guys and get it over with.” He said.
“Barret! Tifa! Get Aeris otta here!” Cloud shouted.
“No! I’m staying with you!” Tifa said.
“Whatever! Somebody punched the security switch!” Dizzy snapped.
Barret got the Aeris out and then Cloud, Red XII, Tifa and Dizzy fought the monster. After they defeated him, the Shinra out numbered them. Dizzy battled her hardest, but they were even too strong for her to handle. The group ended up meeting with President Shinra after being caught, and he was displeased at seeing the two ex-Shinra members.
“Cloud Strife… Dizzy Ninaka… so nice seeing you two again.” the president commented.
“Eat crap, jackass.” Dizzy said.
“Really Dizzy, did you think I’d let your betrayal go unpunished?”
“How could I betray you… WHEN I WAS NEVER ON YOUR SIDE TO BEGIN WITH!” Dizzy hollered.
“You little fool!” With that, the President went to slap Dizzy’s face, but she spit a huge spitball in his eye! He wiped the spit off him, and then looked at the woman, how darted an angry glare at him.
“I’ll have you know that tomorrow, I will enjoy watching you die.” He said, then Dizzy smirked.
“…Same here…” she said, then the group was sent to their prison cells.
Tifa and Aeris shared a room in one cell, as did Barret and Red XII. Cloud and Dizzy shared a room together. Dizzy was really beaten up badly from the Shinra guards that attacked them. She had a bloody mess on her arm without the dragon birthmark, and her legs where scratched and scarred up. Cloud saw her wincing when she was in the corner of the cell. She looked scared and a little upset with herself. Cloud also noticed that if it were any other girl, she would probably be crying now, but not this one… not Dizzy.
“…Are you alright?” he asked.
“……” No reply.
“You’re hurt, you should get some rest.”
“I’m fine.”
“Why are you so mean?”
“Why? WHY?” Dizzy snapped as she grabbed Cloud by the collar, but then stopped and sank back down into the corner.
“What’s wrong? I never saw you act like this before.” Cloud said, crouching down and placing a hand on her bloody shoulder.
“I’ve been living like this for five years, Cloud. I feel like I was when I first saw my mother… at the beginning of my life…”
“What
are you talking about? You were part of Shinra once?”
“I HATE SHINRA! I HATE WHAT THEY DID TO ME!”
“What did they do to you?”
“It’s non of your concern!”
“I’M MAKING IT MY CONCERN!”
Dizzy turned her head, not facing Cloud. She didn’t cry, all she did was close her eyes. Her mind went racing again. Cloud gave it up. But something was strange about this girl: unlike Tifa, she wasn’t nice, and unlike Aeris, she didn’t prove to have a crush on him. She didn’t even like Cloud… but Cloud had a feeling about her. She was trained differently then he was in Shinra, and she was stronger then him. Yet the only emotion she shows is anger. He felt a little sorry about her. So when Dizzy was sleeping, Cloud picked her up… and put her into bed.
The next mourning, Dizzy’s eyes snapped open. Cloud was sleeping at the foot of the bed, and she was in bed. She got out, noticing the cell door was opened. She poked her head out… seeing a man with silver hair slaughter a member of Shinra. Her eyes opened wide. She saw that man one time… when he put a town on fire and slaughtered the people.
“…Sephiroth…” Dizzy’s voice trembled as she spoke his name… but then he turned around and faced her. Dizzy walked out from her cell, facing him. Four Shinra members attacked her and she killed them all with her marshal arts. Sephiroth walked up to her, and she looked up at him. She reached up to the man’s chest cavity, hence he was a very strong and tall man. He drew his sword, ready to slaughter the girl. Right when he was about to drive it threw her heart, she caught it between her fingers and tossed it to the side.
“I’m letting it slide this time, Sephiroth.” She said.
“You have courage… of course… you were trained differently in Shinra.” Sephiroth said.
“No shit… tell me something I don’t know.” Dizzy said sarcastically while spitting sharply to the side.
“You’re attitude despises me.” Sephiroth told her.
“Oh… that one hurt.”
“Mother would’ve loved having a daughter like you.”
“You’re mother can go to hell!”
“HOW DARE YOU SPEAK ILL ABOUT JENOVA!”
“COOL THE HELL OUT, YOU SICK FREAK!”
“Sick…freak? Is that what you called me?”
“No…I called you the ugliest, slimiest, fat, butt-ugly sick freak on the damn planet!”
“…Jenova would’ve killed you for that!”
“Hey, I’m standing right here… why don’t YOU kill me?” With that, Sephiroth turned around, picked up his sword, and began walking away.
“Oh, so that’s how it’s like? Somebody challenges you and you run away like a scolded dog, now that’s VERY manly of you, Sephiroth!” Dizzy snapped. Sephiroth continued walking away from the woman.
Cloud and the others woke up and Dizzy didn’t explain to them. She just followed the blood trails all the way up to the top floor. There, Cloud and the others met up with her. The President Shinra was now dead, just like the other Shinra members.
“Sephiroth did this! I know it!” Tifa said.
“You’re right… he only uses his sword to slaughter people.” Cloud added.
Just then, Rufus, the president’s son, came in and announced since his father was dead, he was now the president of Shinra. Dizzy kept her hands next to her gold plated pistols, with her fingertips nearly touching them. Rufus noticed the guns and shuttered with grief that a woman who was once part of Shinra decided to kill him. So he darted his eyes and fixed them on Cloud and Barret. Then he looked at the others and thought about this little army.
“Who are you guys?” He sneered.
“I’m Cloud, an ex-member of SOLDIER…” Cloud stepped up.
“I’m from AVALANCHE…” Barret stepped up.
“Same here…” as did Tifa.
“A specimen of Hojo…” Red XII rose.
“A flower girl from the slums…” Aeris rose as well.
“Non of YOUR concern, since you’re not even worth wasting my breath over…” Dizzy scolded.
“I know enough about YOU. You’re name’s Dizzy Ninaka, the big, bad, ex-Shinra tough girl with a tattoo.” Rufus snapped at Dizzy.
“Yeah, that’s me.” Dizzy said, sarcastically.
“Will you look at that? Two ex-Shinra members teaming up for such a worthless cause! What a waste!” Rufus snapped.
“Yer the wasted one here, Rufus! Jes shut yer hole and get away!” Barret snapped.
“You’re disgusting!” Aeris snapped.
“And you’re worthless you fat pig!” Tifa yelled.
“You’re beginning to bore me.” Rufus said.
“Guys, get down to the first floor. I’ll handle him.” Dizzy said.
“No, Dizzy… I will.” Cloud said.
“I’d be glad to take on both of you…” Rufus sneered.
Tifa, Barret, Red XII, and Aeris ran down towards the stairway. Tifa staid behind to wait for Cloud and Dizzy. The two were battling Rufus, who was a whole lot tougher then they expected. He had a shotgun and was blasting at them, and nearly hit Dizzy, but her genie-like body leaned in a sideward arch with the blast and shell missing her. Cloud an the other hand was bouncing all over the place and hitting Rufus with elemental attacks, and Dizzy used her deathblows to beat him up.
“We’ll fight another time, and I won’t lose!” Rufus snapped, as he jumped into a low-flying helicopter and flew off.
“Dizzy…” Cloud started.
“What?” Dizzy asked, sharply.
“You…you did great back there.”
“You’re not so bad yourself.”
“Come on, they’re waiting for us. We better go.”
“Yeah… we better.”
The two met up with Tifa, and they gave her a little command to take care of. So Tifa and Dizzy went running to get Barret and the others. Tifa wasn’t a fast runner as Dizzy, so Dizzy was the first to get there. The others were pacing around for them when Tifa got there. So then Tifa and Dizzy gave the commands and they went to meet Cloud.
Sure as daylight, they found him in the garage… on a motorcycle.
“Cloud…” Tifa began, as she stared at him with her crimson brown eyes.
“Come on, let’s go! Tifa, you drive that car over there with Barret, Red XII, and Aeris! Dizzy, hop on.” Cloud said.
Dizzy hopped onto Cloud’s bike and Tifa drove the car with the others in. Some of the Shinra members who survived where chasing after them in their motorcycles, but Dizzy, Cloud and the others fought back while riding. When they reached the end, they fought man to man, and won. Then they made it out of Midgar.
“This is my first time away from Midgar…” Aeris said.
“Get use to it. There’s other places on this world, and you might as well get leaving this dump out of your head.” Dizzy said.
“I heard there’s a nearby town called the City of Kalm. We should go there to restock supply and rest for awhile.” Barret said.
“We should split up into two groups. That way, the Shinra won’t catch all of us.” Dizzy said.
“Sure thing. I’ll be my group’s team leader. I’ll take Red XII and Aeris, so Cloud, you get Tifa and Dizzy.” Barret said.
“Okay. See ya there.” Cloud said.
So the group split up into two teams and headed in opposite directions to the City of Kalm. It took a long time to get there, and they had to battle attacking monsters. When they finally got there, Barret’s group was the first ones there. They were inside one of Kalm’s inns, so Cloud, Dizzy and Tifa went into the first one they saw. Sure as daylight, Barret, Red XII and Aeris were there, waiting for them in the room.
“’Bout time yawl got here.” Barret said.
“Guys… there’s something Cloud’s been edging to tell you.” Tifa said.
“What is it?” Aeris asked.
“It’s about Sephiroth.” Dizzy said, plainly.
“How did you know?” Cloud asked.
“Minds are just like books… they’re easy to read if you know how.” Dizzy said.
“Woah, hold it, hold it, hold it… you can read minds?” Cloud cried.
“Not many… just yours, Gizmo’s, Duo’s and Sephiroth’s.” Dizzy replied.
“Then what does Sephiroth want?” Cloud asked.
“You think I didn’t try that? He knows I can read his mind, but only about small things like Jenova. He hides parts in his mind so that I can’t know about them.” Dizzy retorted.
“Spooky…” Cloud shuttered.
“What’s go’n on here? I’ve been here since day one and I don’t get any ‘o this!” Barret complained.
“Whatever… Here’s the story:” Cloud began.
Cloud: Sephiroth and I were coming to Nibelheim, because we heard that there was a few creatures threatening the place. As you no doubt suspected, Sephiroth and I were friends. He always looked after me and made sure I didn’t do anything stupid. There was a dragon that attacked us that night when we where coming home, and Sephiroth beat him without breaking a sweat. Anyways, I was beaten up a little, but Sephiroth took care of me. When we reached home, Sephiroth went into one of the inns.
Sephiroth: I’m going to get some rest. Cloud, you can go see your family and friends now.
Cloud: When Sephiroth said that, I decided to go see my mom. She was busy making some food, and I was curious as ever at that awkward age of sixteen. Five years ago seems so long… but anyways, on with the story. When I saw Mom, she looked great, and she took care of me.
Mrs. Strife: Cloud… I barely recognized you. You know, you work yourself too hard in SOLDIER. Maybe you should settle down and get yourself a girlfriend. Maybe you should get an older girlfriend, so she’ll take care of you. That would be a perfect match.
Barret: As if, Cloud! The girls are all over you! You’ve got yo’self three already: an old friend who’s a babe, a new friend who’s like a princess, and old stranger who’s a bitch!
Dizzy: (punches Barret) Shut your hole and let Cloud finish!
Barret: That hurt!
Dizzy: Unless you want another punch, keep on talking!
Cloud: Well… anyways… I went to the inn after socializing with Mom. Sephiroth and I talked about going to Mt. Nibel, where the source of all the attacks on the village were coming from. So we rested at the inn and on the next day, I found two unexpected faces. One was Tifa, our mountain guide who’d show us through the mountain. The other was you, Dizzy. This was the first time I saw you. I remembered what happened that day. A dragon attacked you, and you took him out before Sephiroth and I could do anything. I remember the conversation we had when you were done fighting the monster:
“Where’d you learn to pull those stunts?” I asked.
“I’m not talking to you…” that’s what you said.
“You were really great back there. Can you teach me that stuff? Who taught you that?”
“Non of your damn business.”
“Hey… where’d you get that pitchfork-thingy on your arm?” That was the number one mistake I made. I touched the mark, you got angry.
“DON’T YOU EVER TOUCH THAT MARK AGAIN!” right after you said that, SMACK! There goes your hand creating friction on my face!
Tifa: Why did you do that, Dizzy?
Dizzy: I don’t like people touching me.
Barret: Hell… me too… (Rubs the jaw where Dizzy punched him)
Aeris: Continue Cloud. This story’s getting great!
Cloud: Okay. Well, Dizzy walked off and leaving me rubbing my check and Sephiroth in shock.
Sephiroth: You let her hit you? You’re a little kid, you know that?
Cloud: I understood what he meant by that. We went on the trip to Mt. Nibel, and that’s when we came to an old bridge that stretched across to another part of the mountain. And what do ya know? Just like that, the bridge snaps and Sephiroth, Tifa and I go falling head over heels onto the ground! Yeah, it really hurt bad. I felt like curling up and dying right there, but I managed. We all did.
Tifa: I remember that. It sucked totally! Say Dizzy, where were you when this happened?
Dizzy: I was ahead of you, heading towards the ocean on the other side of the mountain. You know, you guys travel too harshly.
Aeris: What does that mean?
Dizzy: To put it bluntly… you suck at traveling.
Cloud: Uh… yeah…right. Anyways, when we made it to the place, Sephiroth saw this pods filled with these weird creatures. He went totally psycho on me! He was smacking the pods with his sword, but he was in shock when he saw the top pod, with this word written over it:
JENOVA
Dizzy: Jenova… that’s his mother. I saw her face in Sephiroth’s mind. She’s freaky.
Cloud: Really? Weird… well anyways, we made it back to Nibelheim. Sephiroth was in an abandon mansion in the basement behind a wall. There were a ton of books in there about the Jenova Project.
Dizzy: That was in his mind too. The pod was holding in Jenova, so she couldn’t cause destruction. Her son could only help her succeed in bringing THAT.
Tifa: But why? The Jenova Project was something that happened years ago…wait…that’s probably it!
Dizzy: The reason why there were so many attacks in Nibelheim! The creatures feared Jenova’s evil so they fled from the mountain!
Barret: This is getting freakier and freakier.
Aeris: What happens now, Cloud?
Cloud: Sephiroth never came out for days. I went down to see him after asking Mom for advice. She told me to go see him… that I might be safe. I didn’t understand what she meant… until after the visit. I went down there, and Sephiroth read every book down there.
Sephiroth: I was created… just like she was. I exist for one reason only.
Dizzy: Apocalypse… so that’s what it means…
Cloud: Apocalypse? So that’s what it means? What does an apocalypse have for it to be meaningful? What are you talking about, Dizzy?
Dizzy: Nothing… I was just thinking out loud. Go ahead and continue.
Tifa: You know, there comes a part in the story when you really hate it.
Aeris: Why?
Dizzy: You’ll find out.
Cloud: I finally understood what Mom meant when she said I might be safe. The entire town was on fire. I went searching for my mom… for Tifa… for everybody I knew. I didn’t find Tifa, and a few people left. But I found Mom… burnt until her bones turned black. My mother was dead… and then I saw who was responsible for the burning and the slaughtering. The people who went running for cover were being slaughtered… by Sephiroth.
I Found Tifa at Mt. Nibel, next to her dead father. She shouted out:
“Papa! Sephiroth did this to you, didn’t he? Sephiroth… Shinra… SOLDIER… I hate them all!”
Cloud: Tifa grabbed Sephiroth’s sword and followed him into the room with the pods. She went to slice him, but he grabbed the sword and sliced her. Tifa went falling down the stairs and landed like a cold stone. Then Sephiroth went farther in, and I reached Tifa.
Tifa: Cloud… how bad was I hurt when you found me?
Cloud: You were hurt pretty badly. I thought I was gonna lose you…like I did my mother… I was sad. Other then that, I followed Sephiroth, and he was face to face with his hibernating mother. From that day… Sephiroth was no longer the Sephiroth I once knew.
“So that’s the story behind Sephiroth, huh?” Dizzy said.
“Yeah, Dizzy. That’s all I know about Sephiroth and what happened.” Cloud replied.
“Where should we go now?” Aeris asked.
“I have to go to Fort Condor and meet Gizmo and Duo there. Wanna join me? It’s near Junon Harbor where the Shinra’s departing to get to Costa Del Sol in the Western Continent. From that sort of speaking, that’s where we should go.” Dizzy said.
“Sounds cool! Let’s go.” Cloud said and they left the room, leaving Red XII.
“…What a fascinating story…” me murmured, then followed along. The group made it to Fort Condor by taking a trip through a cavern and beating up some Shinra guards. When they made it to Fort Condor, Dizzy saw the captain, Gizmo and Duo.
“Sir! Lt. Dizzy Ninaka reporting for duty, sir!” Dizzy shouted, giving the captain a solute.
“A lieutenant! You didn’t tell us that!” Cloud cried.
“Let’s just say I’m full of surprises.” Dizzy said, smiling.
“Welcome back, Lieutenant. We knew you’d come back!” Gizmo said.
“I had to return. Couldn’t live my only true home behind… there was something left for me here…” Dizzy replied.
“Lieutenant, the General wishes to speak with you. Follow me.” The captain replied.
“Sir! Is it alright for these people with me to rest, sir?” Dizzy asked.
“It’s alright.” The captain replied. The group followed the redhead into the fort, and once they where in, they decided to get some rest. When they went into the inn, a little girl was there.
“Dizzy! You’re back!” she cried.
“Hey Ari, what’s up?” Dizzy said.
“I was waiting for you to come back. You’ve been gone for a long time.” The little girl named Ari said.
“Ari… why did you dye your hair?”
“I like the color silver… I’m gonna be strong like you when I grow up and someday, I gonna beat up Sephiroth!”
“…Someday…”
“I’m coming with you when you leave the next time! I can’t help waiting here without you!”
“Here we go again… Listen Ari, listen good. You’re a strong kid, a very strong kid especially for your age and gender. But you’re not strong enough to survive this journey I’m going on.”
“Yes I can! I’ma grown up now! I can survive!”
“You’re a five-year-old child, you can’t survive out there!”
“I’ve been training for three years!”
“I’ve been training since I was five which was fifteen solid years! Don’t you see the difference? Shinra’s a whole lot braver and stronger now, and they wouldn’t hesitate to kill anyone that stood up to them whether they’re twenty OR five! Don’t you see? These guys are soulless bastards that show no mercy! I can’t allow a future soldier to get killed! If anything happened to you, I’d lose my mind!”
“…Okay…you win…”
“Thanks kid.”
“You should get some rest. When you wake up in the mourning, I’ll make some breakfast.”
“Sure.”
Dizzy and the others fell asleep, but Cloud was a little restless. This was the first time he ever saw Dizzy show emotion and protection over somebody other then herself. He also noticed something unique about Ari… she had a tail! A human girl with a long, primate-like tail… nobody he knew had a tail. It was like she was a caveman or something, and he was being bothered about small things all night long.
Dizzy has a green, dragon birthmark, and that little girl Ari has a tail. They both have dyed hair…but Dizzy’s hair is red and Ari’s hair is silver. Something is up with this dying hair thing. Maybe these two are related or something. They’re very protective around each other and the kid looks up to Dizzy. Maybe I should talk to Dizzy and get a few things straight.
He thought about it all night long, then he fell asleep. When it was daybreak, he was awakened by the smell of sausages, biscuits, potatoes, and eggs. He got up, and saw that Ari had cooked for everyone. She gave him a seat next to Tifa and Dizzy. Everyone was eating fast, hence Ari was a great cook and they knew it.
“Ari, this is the greatest breakfast I ever had in my life! How’d you learn it?” Barret asked.
“Dizzy taught me how to cook, and Giz and Duo taught me how to work the equipment to make the stuff.” Ari said, then bit into her biscuit.
“Hey Ari, why do you have a tail?” Cloud asked.
“I guess you never heard I my kind before. I’ma Seanime from the Seanime Village. At least, that’s where I was found. Dizzy told me that the town catching on fire, which was done by Sephiroth, killed my family and other family members. She said that everyone in the village had tails and black hair, like I did. Since my family was murdered, Dizzy took me in as her apprentice when I was born. Then Dizzy said that she’d like to spend more time with me, but she had to help the world, and if she doesn’t stop fighting Shinra, the world’s gonna die.” Ari replied.
“A likely story, eh Barret?” Tifa whispered to her boss.
“Say what?” Barret whispered back.
“That’s exactly what you said to Aeris’s mother about you and Marlene.” Tifa replied.
“Aye… that makes sense.” Barret said.
“So… Dizzy’s like your mom or something?” Cloud said.
“Dizzy’s been everything to me ever since I learned how to throw my first punch and swing my first kick.” Ari replied.
After that, the General spoke with Dizzy. He said that he was glad to have the lieutenant back, because the Shinra’s getting stronger. The soldiers just aren’t strong enough. Just then, the captain (the General’s son) raced down, saying the Shinra was attacking Fort Condor.
“Hurry, Lieutenant! We can’t let them know that we have our guard down!” the General ordered.
“Yes sir!” Dizzy said, then her, Gizmo and Duo ran out to the battlefield to fight. Ari ran to the fort at the top of the fight (the Shack) and saw Dizzy’s battle skills. Just then, the commander came and took down Gizmo and Duo. Right when he smacked Dizzy down, Ari was scared. She grabbed her red wooden materia pole and ran out to the battlefield.
“NO! ARI COME BACK!” the captain hollered. Ari jumped up and smacked the commander right in his red with her pole. Dizzy looked up, and saw the commander wince, then search for his attacker. He didn’t have to look far, because a frustrated Ari was right in front of him, with both hands clenching onto her materia pole. The look on her face was nothing but pure anger.
“Hey you big bully! Why don’t you pummel somebody your own size!” Ari snapped, with no concern about her own safety. “Like, we’ve got as much right to be here as you do! Know what I’m saying?”
“NO! I don’t know what you’re saying, you vulgar mouthed vermin!” the commander snapped.
Raising his machine gun, and smacked Ari like a baseball into a nearby rock. She smacked into it hard, and fell onto the rocky ground with both her eyes shut. Nothing on her body moved, excepted a small earring (a red gem dangling from a chain) that was swinging back and fourth like a pendulum. Dizzy’s eyes widened. She was sure the small girl was dead.
It was lucky for Ari that she wasn’t. She opened one eye and placed a hand on her head, but still didn’t rise. The commander smirked at the young girl and charged at her, ready for a finishing, up-close blow. Dizzy jumped to her feet and raced after him. The commander was fifteen yards away, with Dizzy a few feet behind. Ari opened her other eye, and saw the commander charging at her. Openmouthed, she curled up with both knees up to her chest and a scared look on her face. She was almost ready to cry. Just then, the commander was three feet infront of the little girl and was ready to blast, when a red glow covered his body, then he disappeared.
Dizzy just punched threw his armor and shot him in the heart. Ari looked up at the beaten warrior, and rose from where she sat. Cloud and Tifa helped Duo and Gizmo up to the shack, while Aeris, Barret and Red XII came towards Dizzy and Ari. Dizzy was panting hard, and wasn’t even looking at Ari at the moment. When Barret, Aeris and Red XII came up, Dizzy was ready to fall backwards, tired from the fight. Barret caught her fall, and Aeris carried Ari up to the shack and into the inn.
Dizzy was hurt and beaten like Gizmo and Duo. They had to rest after this battle. Ari sat by the item shop, curled up like a cat next to the heater. Her tail wrapped around her, then under her cheek. Ari was a little embarrassed and angry with herself. She almost got herself killed, and almost let everyone lose to Shinra. She was sleepy that afternoon, and fell asleep, but she kept on wondering about what happened.
The hot burn Ari’s earlobe woke her. She was sleeping next to the heater too long, and her earring got too hot. She walked over to the pump and got herself a glass of well water. She dipped her ear and earring in it until her ear was cool, then she drank the water. After that, she went up to the General, who seemed stern as if he wanted an explanation. Ari held her hands to her side, her tail on the ground, and one foot rubbing against the ground. She looked at her toes as she spoke.
“I’m sorry, sir. I didn’t mean to… I was just really scared that Dizzy, Gizmo and Duo were gonna die out there, sir.” She said, feeling guilty.
“Ari, Dizzy told you many times before that she could handle those things. You’re actions yesterday almost cost us the battle, and for being a future soldier, I don’t know what to do with this. You’ll have to deal with Dizzy as your punishment.” The General said, sternly.
“Yes sir.” Ari said, still looking at her toes.
“You’re dismissed.”
“Yes sir.”
Ari walked towards the inn. Dizzy was putting her shoes on and grabbed her gold plated pistols. She didn’t notice Ari, and Ari was scared. So she walked over towards one of the beds and sat down. She wondered if Dizzy was going to punish her severely, like not allowing the girl to be her apprentice. But she would soon find out, because Dizzy finally looked at her, causing Ari to jump off the bed, raise her head up and throw back her shoulders in a military position.
“Ari… you know you could’ve gotten killed yesterday, right?” Dizzy asked.
“…I do…” Ari said.
“Listen kid, I know you’re tough, strong and brave, we all do. But going out into the battlefield and attacking without thinking is not bravery! It’s stupidity!”
“I’m real-”
“Ari! What I’m trying to say is, you’re tough… but you’re no that tough. For your punishment, you’re to stay down here doing nothing for a week. I’ll have Duo and Giz bring you food and stuff.”
“…Yes sir…”
Dizzy walked out of the room, and Ari sat down on the floor. She was almost about to cry, but she had an idea. Dizzy was going to live with Cloud and the other guys on the next day, so that meant Duo and Gizmo were going to stay with her. She knew how to outsmart them… on the battlefield. So Ari climbed up the ladder when the cost was clear, and raced for the battlefield.
After she made it there, it was noon. So she ate something and then continued her journey, only to hear, “ARI! WHERE ARE YOU?” from Gizmo and Duo! She ran as fast as she could, only to trip over a rock and goes flying in the air and land on her stomach! She tucked her tail beneath her, and using her tail muscles, pushed herself back onto her feet. Then she continued to run again, only to hear, “ARI! COME BACK!” this time by Duo.
I can’t let them catch me or I’ll be in bigger trouble! I’ll prove to Dizzy that I’m just as tough as she is, and she’ll have to let me fight along side of her! I’ll show them what a real soldier is like! Ari thought.
She ran to the base and towards Junon Harbor, but hearing Duo and Gizmo’s footsteps storming louder and louder from behind her, she ran into a forest. There, she hid under a tree that was being lifted up by its roots. She dug in from the back, so nobody could find her.
“ARI! ARI COME OUT!” Gizmo hollered.
“It’s dangerous here! There’s robbers in the woods!” Duo shouted, just as one attacked them. She was a young teenager with a bad attitude.
“EAT MY BOOMERAGE!” she snapped and was about to throw it. Ari jumped out from hiding and attacked the girl. She jumped onto her back and wrapped her tail tightly around the girl’s throat.
“Ugh… H-Hey, you l-little brat! L-L-Lay off!” the teenager tried saying, but she lost balance and both her and Ari came falling down. Ari released the girl from her tail and jumped onto her toes and palms of her hands and began hissing at the teenager.
“You live my friends alone!” Ari snapped, with her tail whipping up in the air like a cat.
“Listen, kid. I don’t like picking fights, but in this case, you’re an exception!” the robber growled.
The two fought each other, and were getting mangled. Ari grabbed the girl’s hair, and the girl grabbed Ari’s tail, forcing Ari to plunge back and punch the robber in the face. The robber jumped back, holding her nose.
“OWW! OWIE! OWWWWWW! Y-YOU CHILD, YOU! T-T-THAT HURT! WAAAAAAAA!” The robber began crying as blood poured from her nose.
“I’m sorry for hurting you… but… but you left me no choice. You were hurting my friends.” Ari said.
“…I’m sorry…” the robber said, while sniffling.
“I’m Ari. What’s you’re name?” Ari asked with a friendly smile on her face.
“My name? My name’s Yuffie.” The robber replied.
“Hi Yuffie. Say, do you know where Junon Harbor is?”
“Do you know where Junon Harbor is? I mean… yeah, I do. I’ll take you there. Follow me… but what about those guys over there?”
“Oh… just leave ‘em be. My friend will find them. Let’s go!”
Yuffie and Ari left a dazed Gizmo and a confused Duo lying in the forest as they headed to Junon Harbor. When the two made it there, Ari walked over to where a Shinra guard was. He looked seriously dull to the little girl, and she walked up to him.
“H-Hey! This is Shinra’s personal elevator! Don’t snoop around here!” he snapped.
“Excuse me, sir, but can you tell me where to find Mr. Rufus, please?” Ari asked.
“What’s you’re purpose?” the guard asked.
“I found some information on the group, AVALANCHE and that girl named Dizzy Ninaka that I’m sure he’d like to hear.” Ari replied.
“Alright then, follow me.” The guard said.
“Hey! What about me, Ari?” Yuffie asked.
“Wait for me, here. I’ll be back.” Ari replied.
“O-Okay…” Yuffie said.
The guard escorted the little girl to the new president. It took a lot of time to get there, but she made it there. Rufus was busy with work that his soldiers were defeated so easily. The guard showed him the little girl, and said that she’d give him information.
“Well… what is it?” Rufus asked sternly.
“Sir… I have a lot of information to tell you.” Ari replied.
“And that would be…”
“Okay, Fort Condor isn’t really the fort where you should be attacking. It’s an abandon decoy with computer generators that delete anything in its path. I know, because I had a friend that was in Shinra go up to the fort and got him vaporized. He didn’t tell anyone about this because he wanted to surprise attack without any help. So the real fort that you should be attacking is the fort in Mt. Nibel where they’re really hiding. I know, because I have a huge scar on my arm were I was burned by a fire attack. AVALANCHE is helping them in this and that’s why they blew up Sector 7. I thought you should know, because it’s only the remainders of AVALANCHE, a specimen, a renegade and an Ancient.”
“That’s rather good information, and I’m surprise you made it. Now I’ll send the troops to Mt. Nibel and you can leave.”
“Thank you, sir.”
With that, Ari left the Shinra president and headed to the town of Junon Harbor. She met up with Yuffie… only to see that Yuffie met up with Cloud and Dizzy. Now Dizzy was a little aggravated, but Ari told her the entire story and she simmered down. Dizzy said that Ari’s punishment was immobilized and that she could return to Fort Condor. But first, they went down to the beach, were a little girl named Pricilla was playing with a dolphin, but was attacked by a marine monster. Dizzy and the others attacked while Ari saved Pricilla from the water. Then Ari fired a Bio2 materia and poisoned the target. With a finishing move by Dizzy giving the Deathblow, the monster died.
“Hey little girl… are you okay?” Ari asked the unconcious girl.
“PRICILLA!” an older man who seemed to be Pricilla’s grandfather came down to the beach, and saw that his granddaughter wasn’t breathing.
“You! Boy! CPR, now!” he ordered.
Cloud got down and gave the girl mouth-to-mouth CPR to try and revive her. She began breathing, and the grandfather took her home to get some rest. Cloud and the others got rest at another house, but then this weird parade-like music began.
“What in the hell is that?” Dizzy said.
“Let’s go check it out.” Cloud said. The others went to the beach to get to the Shinra ship.
Dizzy went first and the others followed. She dressed up as a Shinra soldier and walked in the parade feeling embarrassment, but when she went infront of Rufus, she felt stupid. She didn’t even participate in the cheer for Rufus going to defeat AVALANCHE. This was really getting on Rufus’s nerves that she was doing this. He didn’t like it at all.
“Well, soldier. You seem to have another cheer. Let’s hear it.” He said.
“Cheer-cheer-cheer, yell-yell-yell, who cares who wins ‘cause we’re all going to hell.” Dizzy said.
“That’s not humorous, soldier.”
“Nobody says it was, bozo.”
“What did you call me?”
“Get your ears checked, dork. I called you a bozo.” Just then, Rufus ripped off the helmet and saw the girl.
“You’re Dizzy Ninaka!” He cried.
“Damn straight I’m Dizzy Ninaka! Don’t forget it, Shinra-ass!” Dizzy snapped.
She tackled the President into the ocean and the two went wrestling in the shallow water. Barret, whom was aboard and watching the fight was silently cheering Dizzy on, while Cloud gave a sigh.
“What did you do to make you think that you could do this to me?” Rufus snapped.
“I drank a beer!” Dizzy shouted.
“What?”
“I drank another beer!”
“What?”
“Three beers!”
“What?”
“Four beers!”
“What?”
“Five beers!”
“What?”
“Six beers!”
“What?”
“Seven beers!”
“What?”
“Eight beers!”
“What?”
“Nine beers!”
“WHAT?”
“…And a bloody-Mary”
“Ninaka, you’re drunk!”
“I ain’t drunk! I’m only get’n started!”
With that, Dizzy pulled out a champagne bottle and smacked it over the presidents head, saying, “Cheers to ya, jackass!” and then she took off in another direction, living the president knocked out in the shallow water. The redhead snuck aboard the ship dressed in a Shinra uniform, only to see that Ari, Gizmo and Duo were aboard.
Before she could tell them to get off the ship, the boat set sail and the group had to be together. Cloud wasn’t very happy with Dizzy after the incident at Junon harbor. But they had to put that behind because the crewmembers were being slaughtered. There were bloodstains smeared all over the floors and it looked like Sephiroth’s work again.
“It was Sephiroth, wasn’t it? I’ll show him a thing or two!” Ari said, getting fired up.
“No you won’t. Yuffie, Gizmo, Duo, could you watch after the kid so I can check it out.” Dizzy said.
“Okay.” Yuffie said.
“But Dizzy…” Ari protested.
“No, Ari! You’re not going! My decision is final!” Dizzy snapped.
“Dizzy! Why can’t you understand?” Ari cried, taking Dizzy by surprise. Just then, she took off running in angry… right in the direction of the massacres!
“ARI! DON’T!” Yuffie screamed.
“He’s not down there… is he?” Cloud said, shocking Dizzy.
“Ari! Not that way!” Dizzy screamed. Ari went running into the engine room with Dizzy running after her. The cargo room before the engine room was filled with dead bodies and bloodstains on the floor. In the engine room, she saw a Shinra guard there, and she stopped and looked at him.
“It was Sephiroth… wasn’t it?” Ari asked, only to have the man fall over. Just then, a silver haired man appeared by coming out of the ground. He wore a black cloak and had a long sword.
“Are you… Sephiroth?” Ari asked.
“Who are you?” Sephiroth asked.
“M-My name’s Ari. I’m a Seanime…the harmless creatures that YOU slaughtered!”
“Hahahaha… you are very amusing… but I’m afraid you’re life draws to its end…”
Sephiroth slowly rose his hand, and then blasted Ari with a Bolt2 sending the Seanime flying into a wall. She had a streak of blood rolling down her forehead. Sephiroth then drew his long sword, and went to stab the girl through her heart. Dizzy raced in, jumped forward, grabbed the sword, formed into a front flip and landed on her feet, holding the sword by the blade. She turned around and growled at Sephiroth.
“Well if it ain’t Sephiroth? Sephiroth bullying Ari, just like Sephiroth bullied Tifa, just like Sephiroth bullied everyone by taking their lives! Now how about we get a few things settled right here and now so you can bully me around as much as you want, but you WILL NOT bully Ari!” Dizzy snapped, throwing the sword to the side.
“Very motherly of you, Miss Ninaka… but you are right, we do have a few things to settle…” Sephiroth said, and walked towards the woman, and then vanished infront of her. It seemed like he was inside of her soul and body, and he was freezing her body.
“What’s happening?!” Dizzy hollered, then fell to her knees unconcious.
Before the rest of her body reached the ground, Sephiroth appeared and grabbed the girl by her hair, then drew his sword. Ari’s eyes opened up, and as quick as a cat, she jumped up and smacked Sephiroth in the back of the neck with her materia pole!
“You leave her alone!” Ari snapped.
“Ari! Dizzy!” Cloud came running in, just as Sephiroth disappeared, leaving him and Ari to fight a Jenova monster. It was hard for Ari, but they were victorious. Then Cloud came to Dizzy.
“Dizzy… come on, wake up…” he said, holding the redhead in his muscular arms.
“This is my fault, isn’t it? I didn’t want to hurt anyone.” Ari said.
“This isn’t your fault. You’re not the one who did this to her so it can’t be your fault.” Cloud replied.
“Really?”
“Yeah, but for now, let’s get Dizzy somewhere safe so she can rest. We’re almost at Costa Del Sol and that’ll be a while.”
“Okay.”
The ship docked, and still Dizzy was asleep. Cloud told everyone that they should keep their minds on Sephiroth, but that they could take a break for a while. Costa Del Sol was a tropical place where there was a beach and plenty of sunlight to go around. But Cloud had to get Dizzy someplace so she could rest. It wasn’t hard finding the right place for her resting.
“This should be the right place for her to rest…” Cloud said. He took the sleeping woman into one of the inns and laid her on the bed. He paid for her resting, then went to the beach.
Cloud just couldn’t stop thinking about Dizzy. She hated Hojo and it seemed like everyone, but she is concerned for Ari, Gizmo and Duo. They were just a child and two odd men to Cloud, but to Dizzy, they were old friends and a new one. Dizzy was very unique in a way. That’s when he saw Hojo, and was ready to slice and dice him into tiny pieces… only to see he was in relaxation with a bunch of skinny girls in bikinis all over the guy. Cloud was ready to laugh out loud and embarrass the almighty scientist, but then he decided to act like an adult and ask things.
“Hey babe, can you get that guy out of a the trance so I can speak with him?” Cloud said to one of the girls.
“Alrighty. Professor, some cutie-pie with blonde hair is here to speak with you.” The girl said.
“Wha…? Cloud Strife! Ah-” Hojo was ready to run for it when Cloud grabbed him by the collar.
“Listen here, jackass! You’re coming with me and you’re going to answer a whole lot of questions unless you want me to slice your throat!” Cloud growled.
“A-Alright! I’ll go with you.” Hojo said.
Cloud and Hojo went to the inn were Dizzy was resting. She still wasn’t conscious and her skin had a dark glow on it. It would be shadowy, then turn back to her regular skin color. Hojo was surprised that Dizzy had came with them in such bad shape, but then he realized why Cloud brought him to the inn… to cure Dizzy. But why would he cure a person whom literally beat the hell out of him.
“Cure her now!” Cloud snapped.
“Do you have eye-drops?” Hojo asked.
“Right here.”
“Tranquilizer?”
“Check.”
“High Potion.”
“Yep.”
“Hyper?”
“Got it.”
“This will take time, Cloud. I know how impatient you are so why don’t you forget about Dizzy and let me go on about my business?”
“I don’t care how long it takes! Just cure her!”
“Right.”
Hojo spent a half-hour trying to cure Dizzy and an hour when he found out how to cure her. When she was cured, her eyes snapped open. She saw Hojo leaning over her, and she fired a huge boot to the face. Hojo’s nose poured out blood after Dizzy kicked him. Then Dizzy jumped to her feet and bit the living daylight out of Hojo, only to have Cloud restrain her.
“Let go of me Cloud!” Dizzy snapped.
“You broke my nose!” Hojo hollered.
“I’ll break you’re neck soon, jackass!” Dizzy shouted.
“Dizzy! Calm down! It’s because of him that you’re cured.” Cloud said.
“What? This sick freak helped me? That’s horse shit! He probably poisoned me or something like that! I don’t trust him Cloud!” Dizzy said.
“If he did poison you or something like that, he’d be dead after we found out about that… right Hojo?” Cloud said.
“Damnit! I WISH I poisoned her, that ungrateful little bitch!” Hojo snapped.
“That’s it you pansy-ass mama’s-boy!” Dizzy shouted.
Breaking away from Cloud’s grasps, she tackled Hojo and fired stronger punches at his nose. The two went rolling around until they were outside. They were kicking the living hell out of each other and the whole town of Costa Del Sol was watching the fight. Neither Barret nor Cloud or anybody else could break up the fight, but it stopped when the two began fighting at the dock and Dizzy threw Hojo in the water. Now Dizzy was relived, but Hojo was insane!
“You nasty witch! I’m going to kill you!” he hollered.
“Go to hell, jackass.” Dizzy snapped, then turned away and left the professor in the water.
“Dizzy! Dizzy! Come back here! You can’t leave me!” Hojo screamed.
“Go to hell, Hojo!” Dizzy hollered back, then headed to Mt. Corel with Gizmo, Duo and Ari, who seemed to enjoy Dizzy beating the trash out of Hojo. That’s when the others showed up.
“Man Dizzy, you opened up a can of whoop-ass on that bastard!” Barret said, laughing.
“You surely know how to put on quite a show, Dizzy ‘ol girl!” Gizmo said.
“But still, Dizzy. He cured you, probably even saved your life. The least you could do is show him a little respect.” Cloud said.
“Respect? Cloud, did your mother have any kids that lived? Hojo’s the biggest back-stabbing bastard there is. I know him better then anyone here and even better then his old lady. I don’t trust him, I don’t fear him, and I sure as hell won’t respect him.” Dizzy said, and made her way to Mt. Corel.
The people there were being disrespectful to Barret. Barret explained that because of him, the town was destroyed. The Shinra burned it down to rubble and killed his best friend, Dyne. So the group went on a cable trolley to the Gold Saucer. When they reached there, Barret ran off and Cloud took Dizzy, Tifa, Red XII, Gizmo, Duo, Ari and Yuffie around the place, leaving Aeris. But Aeris didn’t care. She wanted to go on her own and have some fun. It didn’t bother her… too much.
“This place is so dumb…” Dizzy said.
“Then why don’t you leave it?” a voice came from behind them. It was a tall, muscular man in a speedo.
“Who the hell are you?” Dizzy asked coldly.
“I’m Dio, the owner of this place.” The man said.
“…Try putting pants on…” Dizzy said.
“Hey, watch it, hussy. I’ll send to the desert prison if you don’t act right!” Dio snapped.
“I don’t care… just to get me away from this place.” Dizzy said.
“Relax, Dio! She’s just a little sad about something. I’ll make her happy!” there came a voice from behind them… a fortuneteller with a weird looking body.
“What in the hell are YOU suppose to be?” Dizzy snapped coldly.
“My name’s Cait Sith… you don’t look happy. I know! You need a hug!” Cait Sith said.
“Don’t even-” Dizzy was cut off by two arms squeezing the life out of her, then putting her down.
“There,
don’t you feel better now?” Cait Sith asked, only to how Dizzy slap him so hard
he almost broke his skull!
“BEAT IT DOFUS!” Dizzy screamed.
She walked into the battle arena with Ari, only seeing that the place had bloodstains and two dead Shinra guards. Cloud and the others arrived and where in shock. They ran ahead into the battle place, only to see that two staff members were shot also.
“Who did this?” Ari cried as she held up one of the staff members.
“A…A man… with… a gun on his… right arm…” the staff member murmured. Ari’s eyes widened.
“No… it… it couldn’t be…” she stammered.
“Barret?” Tifa murmured.
“This is awful. I saw that man with a gun on his right arm. He didn’t look happy.” Cait Sith said.
“You there! Did you do this?” Dio ran up with two policemen.
“Wait! Listen to us!” Ari cried.
“There’s no use! You guys are going to the desert prison!” Dio hollered, and that’s exactly what he did.
The group was in the desert prison. They weren’t the only ones down there though. There were a few others as well, and the weather was hot. Dizzy walked away from the group and shot her gun in the air, hoping to hit Dio or someone. Unfortunately for her, the bullet didn’t hit anyone, allowing her to swear under her breath.
They met up with Barret, and a very unhappy Ari ran up to him with tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Why, Barret? How come you hurt those poor people? They didn’t need to die! They were innocent! Why did you hurt them? Why?” Ari sobbed as she tugged onto Barret’s pant-leg.
“I didn’t want you guys to get involved! Jes’ leave me alone!” Barret snapped and ran off.
“Jackass…” Dizzy hissed.
The group made it to civilization and made it inside a wrecked house. They were not expected there, and even when Barret showed his ugly smock, they were in shock. Ari with her eyes still misty walked up to him. Her large, innocent doe eyes looked up at the giant muscular man and he looked down at the little girl. She reminded him so much of Marlene that he wished he could hug her… but first he took care of something. Raising his arm-gun, he fired causing Ari to duck her head and place her hands on her scalp. The others just blocked their faces… except for Dizzy who turned around and saw whom he shot at.
“I told you I didn’t want to get ya involved…” Barret said after the body behind the couch he shot at fell over.
“We saw the deaths at the Gold Saucer, made by a man with a gun in his arm… was that you?” Red XII asked.
“Barret… it wasn’t you, right? It could’ve been somebody else… please tell me it was somebody else…” Ari pleaded, her doe eyes getting larger.
“…There’s another man out there… another guy with a gun in his arm too…” Barret said.
“What the story behind that?” Cloud asked.
“I’ll tell you…” Barret replied.
Barret: It all began when Dyne and me were go’n back to Corel. It wasn’t what we wanted when we saw the town. One of the villagers ran up to us in a panicking tone… one that I’ll never forget.
Villager: Barret! Dyne! The town’s under attack! You gotta hurry!
Barret: The Shinra burnt the city with everyone in it… Dyne’s wife Eleanor, our families, our friends… it was a terrible day. But that wasn’t even the beginning… no it wasn’t. To make it even worse, we couldn’t even do anything about it! And just to season it with more terror, that damned Scarlet bitch and her trusty group of Shinra jackasses decided to chase us away and shoot at us like dogs! Stupid bitch! Dyne went flying over the side of a cliff, dangling onto my hand, and what does that jerk Scarlet do? She shots at us with one bullet shooting my hand and the other one hitting Dyne’s hand, allowing Dyne to fall down like a rock! A few years after that, I got this gun put in my hand… a useful weapon to fight the Shinra. But then a few months after that, the doctor said that another man had the same operation I had… only to was on his left hand…
“So that’s what happened, huh?” Cloud said.
“That means that you’re innocent! YEAH!” Ari cried.
“Reality check, people. Dyne’s still out there and he’s going to kill some more sorry losers.” Dizzy commented.
“She’s right, guys… say, where’s Aeris?” Tifa said.
“Aw damnit! She in the freak’n Gold Saucer that stupid bitch!” Dizzy snapped.
“Calm down, Dizzy-girl. At least we know she’s safe.” Duo said.
“Oh whatever. I don’t care if she lives or dies anyways…” Dizzy harshly retorted.
“How can you be that damn cold?” Cait Sith cried.
“Shut your freak’n face hug boy and move your fat ass!” Dizzy snapped and stormed out of the house. Then a disgusted Cloud stormed out there and grabbed hold of her.
“Damnit Dizzy! Stop being so freaking selfish! You don’t care about anyone except yourself and about killing Shinra! I understand if they did something painful to you but you can’t live with that forever! I mean what the hell, that ain’t healthy to be living on that!” Cloud shouted.
“Go to hell and take everything with you!” Dizzy said, just as Duo, Gizmo and Ari ran out.
“What happened?” Ari asked innocently.
“Let’s go guys. We’re getting our asses otta here.” Dizzy said.
Dizzy walked towards the president of the desert prison’s trailer. There was a man there that said that they couldn’t get out unless they talked to the president. Dizzy could take it, so she shot him in the shoulder wounding him. Then her, Gizmo, Duo and Ari walked threw and made back to the Gold Saucer. When Dizzy found Aeris, she grabbed the Ancient by the hair and threw him into a wall.
“The hell have you been all this time, bitch?” Dizzy snapped.
“I…I… was only… playing…” Aeris stammered in fear.
“Damn right you where playing! Did you know that Cloud, Tifa, me and the other jackasses were thrown into the desert prison by that dumb-ass Dio! No shit you didn’t know that ‘cause you were too busy playing! Cloud and the other bastards are still down there! Are you gonna play or help them? Well? Answer me, bitch!” Dizzy snapped.
“I…I’m sorry…”
“Damn right you’re sorry! Are you crying?”
“…No…”
“How about this: When I was little my boss called me a slut and a huge pile of bullshit! And my comrades came all over the globe to see that bastard scream in my face! And did I cry?”
“No…”
“No shit! Because there’s no use to crying! You got that? Next time, use your head! THAT’S THAT JUMP THREE FEET ABOVE YOUR ASS!” Just then, a man came up and asked what was happening, and Dizzy bluntly snapped,
“She’s crying, sir!” The man looked at Aeris, who was in tears and said,
“I d-didn’t mean to do that…”
“Stupid bitch…” Dizzy snapped, then walked off.
She got out of the Gold Saucer and stole somebody’s motorcycles. Ari rode with her and Duo and Gizmo had their own. They rode around for hours until they reached an area with many cliffs. Cloud and the others, who didn’t seem very happy with Dizzy after the way she left Aeris, then caught up with the four. They made it to a place called Cosmo Canyon.
“I’m home!” Red XII cried and ran in.
“Ninaki! You’re back!” cried a voice.
“I’m coming, Grandpa!” Red XII cried.
“…Ninaki?” Cloud commented in wonder.
“Obviously you know nothing about Native Americans. They have names like Ninaki to describe things in nature.” Dizzy said.
“Oh, you’re quite the scholar…” Barret sneered, only to receive Dizzy throwing her fist back and smacking him hard in the face!
“But Red XII isn’t a Native American… he’s a talking lion with battle scars.” Cait Sith added.
